What a fantastic way to offer your help to a local charity.
We have some great opportunities to engage you in our work whether it’s a few hours a week or just a couple of days in the year. We are always seeking keen gardeners to help with the upkeep of our beautiful interactive garden and make the area safe for our children.
We would love office support to help with the mountain of paperwork, and typing.
We are always seeking fundraising support at our events and it’s a great experience for anyone looking to work in this field.
If social media is your thing then you may be the person we are seeking to support our fundraising efforts by communicating with our parents and supporters on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This position is ideal for a young person working towards their Duke of Edinburgh award.
Volunteer Administration Support
We are seeking a new volunteer to help with administration within a very busy fundraising department. Its great fun but there is just so much to do. We need help from someone with a few hours to spare that is experienced in using word and excel. Hours are flexible and to suit you but you must be able to support us weekly. Call our Fundraising Manager on 01322 668501 x5 in the first place or e-mail the office on email@example.com
James Jarvis-a volunteer
“I joined Beams last year as a student volunteer completing my Duke of Edinburgh Award. I have worked on social media, website updates and have dealt with IT queries”.
James said “I have learnt so much from this work experience and its great to know that I have made a difference” James and his father Jason also made our short film currently showing on YouTube with over 800 views. Why not take a look at what we do for disabled children.
Sylvia Conny Bear-Bloom-a volunteer
Sylvia Conny Bear-Bloom has volunteered with us for 20 years. She works with the short breaks team to help answer the phone and deal with administration. Sylvia who is 80 years old soon said “I love working here. I have seen many changes and have got to know lots of children and can see how I can help them. It keeps me busy and this charity is so deserving”.
