Description/Details of Role:
Personal Assistant required to provide support and assistance to my 8 year old son, to enable him to have a fun-filled time outside of school hours.
My son has a learning disability, hearing loss and limited understanding of the world around him. He is non-verbal, unaware of hazards or dangers. He is double incontinent and requires full support for personal hygiene. He is mobile but requires guidance and support whilst walking out of the house. He would require support with other needs including meal times, changing and taking out. He is a lovely, easy going and playful child with lots of smiles.
Tasks:
1. Collect from school taxi at home.
2. Help basic needs including feeding and changing.
3. Help with local activities like going to the park, for local walks, shopping trips or swimming.
4. Support with looking after him at home whilst parents are at work or looking after older siblings.
Hours – 4 hours during term weeks, Ideally split as 2 hours Tuesday and Wednesday after school
6 hours during school holidays. We are flexible on days & times.
Rate of Pay : £10.42 per hour.
