We are looking for a personal assistant for our 17 years daughter. She will turn 18 in July. She has Autism with some learning difficulties. She is bright, easy going and loves to have fun.
The role simply involves taking her out to do fun things that kids her age would be doing – going shopping, taking her swimming, going to the cinema and other fun events. She loves music and has several electric guitars, so anyone who can play this instrument will have the opportunity to share this passion with her. It is not a requirement for the position.
A full driving licence is required, as well as a DBS check less than 12mths old (the cost of this will be covered if you don’t have one already). The hours are flexible and can be discussed but could be a combination of after school and Saturdays during term time (9hrs per week) 20hrs per week during school holidays.
If you cannot necessarily commit to every weekend, please don’t let that put you off applying, we would consider multiple people for the role to allow for when people take holidays etc.
Rate of pay: £12 per hour and expenses such as parking, lunch, and mileage when travelling outside of the local area will be paid in addition to this, plus holiday pay (depending on hours worked).
