I am after a pa for my 8 year old son, he has ASD, PDA, learning difficulties, sensory process difficulties, severe speech impairment he is non-verbal but communicates by hand leading, communication boards/pecs. My son shows signs of OCD and ADHD. My son is very strong minded if he doesn’t want to do something he will not do it.
He is such a lovely boy, giggly and loves having fun which can be going to the park at quite times, swimming (can be difficult sometimes) being in the garden and being outside in general He loves playdoh and messy play and watching Disney.
Help him with outings and being in different environments, help him reregulate when he can become destressed and play with him.
To provide support and assistance to enable my child to achieve their full potential.
Key Main Task:
- Taking him out into different environments.
- Help with his self-care (changing his nappies, washing his hands).
- Help taking his medication when needed.
- Support his daily needs.
- Help with social outings.
- Making sure he has fun and is always safe.
- Use the communication boards to help him communicate his wants and needs with you
- Feeding: provide snacks and food when he needs.
- Driving car is provide
- Experience with autism, PDA, SPD, and non verbal
Rate of Pay : £11.44 per hour plus holiday pay.
Hours Available:
Term time 6 hours a week on a weekend during the daytime.
Half term is 16 hours a week for weekdays and weekends during the daytime.
You can be flexible with the hours during half term as long as it meets the 16 hours.
An enhanced DBS for working with children will be required before starting, which I can arrange if an up to date clearance is needed.
