Details of the Role
- To support my son with social activities and independence while helping him achieve his full potential, including personal care if needed.
- To support his interests which are sensory based. He likes to jump, run and climb. As well as getting sensory feedback from objects.
- My son is profoundly autistic, non-verbal, ADHD with Pica and has limited understanding – all on top of being a happy and cheeky 8-year-old.
- My son needs constant supervision for his and other’s safety.
Key tasks
- Playing: At home, garden, hot tub or park.
- Walking: Walks in the park, beaches or countryside.
- Personal Care: He is learning toilet training.
- Feeding: Providing snacks as and when he wants.
- Driving: Car provided, and we’ll insure you.
- Experience with Autism via certification (preferred)
Rate of Pay
- £11.44 per hour
Hours
- Currently eligible for 3 hours per week in term time. 6 hours per week out of term time. Some additional ad-hoc hours will also be needed.
- The hours will be completely tailored to your circumstances – we don’t mind what day you want to work but must be in the afternoon. Any day Monday to Sunday.
- As time progresses and funding increases there will likely be more hours available.
Enhanced DBS
- An enhanced DBS for working with children will be required, which I will arrange if an up-to-date clearance is needed.
