We are looking for a fabulous PA to care for our son.
We can offer 6 hours per week term time & 8 hours per week during the holidays. These hours are funded at a rate of £11.44 an hour.
Our son has a range of interests and preferences that reflect his unique personality and challenges.
Likes:
- **Walking in the Park** He enjoys the outdoors, especially walking in the park. The fresh air, natural surroundings, and open space likely provide him with a sense of freedom and joy.
- **Playing on the Swing** Swings are a favourite activity for him. The sensation of swinging can be soothing and enjoyable, allowing him to engage in sensory play.
- **Pointing and Pulling Hands** He communicates his needs and desires through pointing and pulling hands. This indicates a preference for direct, physical interaction and helps him express what he wants.
Dislikes:
- **Lack of Understanding** When others do not understand his communication attempts, it can lead to frustration.
- **Overstimulation** Like many children on the autism spectrum, he may dislike environments that are overly loud or chaotic.
Personality Traits:
**Curious** He shows curiosity about his environment, particularly when exploring the park or engaging with swings. His desire to explore reflects an adventurous spirit.
**Sensitive** He may have heightened sensitivity to sensory experiences, which can influence his likes and dislikes, especially regarding noise and crowds.
**Expressive** Despite being nonverbal, he finds ways to express himself through physical gestures.
**Lack of understanding ** Due to his behavioural challenges and lack of danger awareness, he may sometimes exhibit impulsive or unsafe behaviours, indicating a need for supervision and support.
We require a PA who is confident in dealing with special needs children with challenging behaviour .
If you are trained in Makaton trained & first Aid trained this will help and a driving license is favourable but not necessary.
