Little Buddies has Joined with Beams
The Dartford based Little Buddies Club is a parent’s support group for children with severe and complex disabilities. Originally it was for parents with a child with Downs Syndrome, but the club has been really popular and now serves parents of children with many other life-limiting disabilities. Little Buddies joined forces with We Are Beams and has been part of the charity since the 1st April 2019.
Due to Covid-19, all face to face services below are suspended until further notice.
The Club will continue to run on the first Tuesday of each month from the Temple Hill Children’s Centre from 12.30-2.30pm and is open for new parents to join at any time.
Rosie Neale, Group Leader said “This is a fabulous club to support disabled children with the more severe and complex needs and a great way for the parents to get to know and help each other”.
Katrina Adams, Head of Beams Charity said “ Little Buddies is well established and has been around for 10 years and has a great reputation for supporting families with a disabled child. They get referrals from Home-Start, the special care baby unit, the local paediatrician, GP surgeries or you can self-refer. The monthly club is a great way for parents to support each other and to get the help and advice they need for their child. This support group is a great additional service offered within We Are Beams.”
