£23,000 boost for We Are Beams, thanks to Elite Metal

London-based steel supplier, Elite Metal Group, has raised an amazing £23,000 for We Are Beams, a charity that provides vital support services to disabled children and their families in Dartford, Gravesham, Sevenoaks, and the surrounding areas.

Elite Metal chose Beams as their charity of the year due to the positive impact the charity has had on one of their team’s family.

Clients and friends of the business joined for a fun day of competitive clay shooting, followed by dinner and a charity auction.

The evening concluded with a heartfelt presentation by Jon, Elite’s Senior Contract Manager, about raising a disabled child. Jon’s son, Noah, has benefited from Beams through Family Advice, days out and respite overnight care. Jon’s speech highlighted the significant impact charities such as Beams have on families with children who require extra support.

Frances D’Ardenne, Head of Marketing at Elite Metal Group explained

“For a number of years we’ve supported businesses raising money for great causes, but this year we decided it was time to host our first ever charity day.  We were absolutely blown away by the support and generosity of our friends and customers who brought teams, donated prizes and bid fiercely on our charity auction.   We feel immensely proud to be able to give back to We Are beams who have supported Noah and his family.  We can’t wait for our next charity event.”

Luke Cashin, Fundraising Manager for We Are Beams is so incredibly thankful to everyone at Elite Metal Group for their remarkable generosity.

This £23,000 donation will ensure our essential care services remain accessible to those who need them the most. We thank everyone involved for their positive contribution to the lives of local disabled children and young people.’
