Last month, we were thrilled to welcome Hope on Prescription at We Are Beams who hosted our first family art workshop.  

Jemma and Sarah at Hope on Prescription engaged our member families with a creative exploration of the word “Hope”. The event, held at our overnight respite unit in Hextable, saw attendees create stunning individual pieces and collaborate on a group piece that will be auctioned in our online auction, which will launch in February 2025. Jemma Burgess, Founder of Hope on Prescription, shared, “It was heart-warming to connect with the children, discovering their unique artistic preferences. Witnessing their smiles and the collective joy of creating together was truly inspiring. Art has the power to uplift spirits and kindle hope, and this workshop was a testament to that.”

In addition to the art workshop, families had the opportunity to enjoy We Are Beams’ facilities, including the accessible garden, sensory room, and playroom. It was a wonderful day of art and togetherness.
