Personal Assistant required to provide assistance and support, with fun activities for our daughter who is 11 years old.
The individual must have full experience, knowledge and understanding of working with people with SEND ( learning difficulties and Autism in our case)
We are looking for a fun, friendly, patient and understanding individual for our daughter.
Driving Licence required, but firstly we are looking for someone to come to do fun activities with her at our home and around the local village. We want the successful applicant to build a good, trusting relationship with our daughter and then eventually take her out and about doing other regular activities, such as swimming.
Our daughter will participate in activities, but it does take some encouragement. She definitely prefers the cooking activities at school, so that could be a good activity to do at home and get her involved.
Her fine motor skills are not great, but she will engage in an activity for a few minutes at a time. She’s a wizz on Duplo Lego though.
Our daughter is totally non-verbal but she does make sounds. She is generally a very happy girl, full of smiles – she LOVES music and dancing. She loves people to sing to her. If you play an instrument that would be even more amazing!
Our daughter is in full time nappies, so she does need full on help her with self care needs. We have a wet room downstairs in the house for her.
She has no sense of danger at all or Road Safety, so full time supervision is required at all times. With food, she definitely needs supervision, as she can eat quick, so she needs supervision.
Four hours a week during School Term- ideally on Saturdays 12-4pm.
