We are looking for a friendly, supportive, and proactive personal assistant for our 17-year-old son.
Our Son has cerebral palsy and epilepsy, and with this has complex needs. He is happy, inquisitive and enjoys outdoor activities as well as indoor play.
He needs close adult support in all environments. He is predominantly non-verbal and due to his inability to walk is in a wheelchair and would need manual handling (hoists, slings are available with a fully adapted property for all elements of personal care).
Key main tasks:
· Personal care (cooking, feeding, dressing, changing pads, bathing)
· Administration of medication
· Playing at home, and also some activities outside of the home (a full clean driving licence with business use insurance)
· As with the nature of the care, a DBS check will be required.
Hourly rate of pay: £11.44
Hours available:
Term Time
· Monday – Friday – 3 hours per evening (15:30-18:30)
· Saturday and Sunday – at least 3 hours per day (either 10:00-13:00 and/or 15:00-18:00)
Non Term Time
· Outside of term times we are flexible with hours throughout the week.
