I am looking for a PA for my daughter. She is 12 years old, is autistic and has learning disabilities. She is still fully padded/nappies. She suffers with anxiety and can display OCD behaviours.
My daughter is a lovely affectionate and emotional child. She is mostly happy and giggly and loves to explore nature and loves being in water. She does not have any aggressive behaviour towards people and is a gentle child, however she can sometimes try and hurt herself when very anxious but this only happens rarely.
The role will require mostly allowing my daughter to access activities and interest within the community. To provide her with 1.1 care and supervision that she needs.
The role will also require you to provide her with personal care and supervision. Activities that will be required for you to participate in are swimming, Sealife centres, sensory play-rooms and parks for picnics.
British passport and full driving licence with business insurance is required.
Full DBS check dated within the last 18 months. If you don’t have one or it is out of date this will be fine for you at no cost to yourselves.
A non-smoker is preferable to the role. Someone who has experience with special needs children and experience in autism is desired.
Rate of Pay:
Wage is £11.50 per hour
Hours:
12 hours per week during school holidays only. An occasional Saturday may be required if hours have not been used and extra help is required.
