With help from the community, businesses and grants, we have been able to transform our once run down and shabby garden to a completely inclusive environment for disabled children.
From sponsored walks, half marathons, corporate ‘buy a brick’ scheme plus donations from foundations and grants, the whole local community came together to raise an amazing £200,000 for our huge capital appeal.
The Grand opening on Thursday 30th March is going to be a real celebration with the local community, school children and families that the charity support through their vital care services invited.
The new garden has been professionally designed and includes specialist play equipment and the whole area has been levelled out with outside cover so the children can enjoy the space whatever the weather.
Once open the garden will be used daily by the children that stay overnight in respite care, plus holiday clubs, special needs schools and general visitors.
This area will make a huge difference to so many children that are sadly unable to enjoy a public park or attraction due to their disability or special needs.
We are delighted that our new garden has been featured in My Kent Family. Click here to view for the full story.
