We Are Beams facilities are fully accessible and available to hire to the local community, schools, and SEN groups. The facilities provide a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for children, young people, and families.

The space includes a large accessible garden with specialist outdoor play equipment, an accessible swing, trampoline, sports equipment, water play, and a growing area for plants and vegetables. There is also a cinema room featuring a 98-inch screen, a tailor-made media wall, surround sound, and ambient lighting.

 Additional indoor spaces include a soft playroom with a ball pit, a fully equipped sensory cabin with colour and light columns, an interactive wall carpet and projector, and a large playroom with a TV/DVD player and games console. A kitchen and dining area is also available for group meals, and family gatherings.

Anne Hammond who recently visited Beams with her grandchildren, family and friends thoroughly recommends a visit,

 “Our family and some close friends spent a wonderful Sunday afternoon hiring the facilities at We Are Beams, and we can’t thank the team enough for making it possible. 

My granddaughter Annabelle has complex needs and global developmental delay, and like many families, it is incredibly difficult to find places where we can spend time together and where she is safe, supported, and truly included. Being able to hire the Beams facilities gave us that opportunity.

All nine children had a fantastic time, and Annabelle was so happy.  She was able to spend time outside and then move indoors freely, completely safe and without restrictions. Annabelle’s mum said it was ‘really, really nice to be able to do something together where Annabelle is included,’ which says everything.

We Are Beams is a lifeline for families like ours. The facilities were perfect for our family gathering, everything was easy to organise, and we hope to hire the space again later in the year, Thank you”
