We Are Beams celebrates 30th anniversary with £7,000 raised at O2 climb

We Are Beams is incredibly proud to have raised £7,000 at its recent Up at The O2 fundraising challenge, marking a special moment in the charity’s 30th anniversary year.

A total of 25 climbers took on the challenge, ascending 52 metres above London at the iconic O2. The event brought together an inspiring mix of local businesses, supporters and families connected to the charity, all united in raising vital funds to support disabled children and their families.

The involvement of families supported by We Are Beams made the day even more powerful, with parents and children taking on the climb together. Their presence clearly demonstrated the real difference the charity makes to the lives of disabled children and young people

The charity would like to extend a huge thank you to event sponsors Downton & Ali Associates for their support, as well as to all the families, supporters and local businesses who played a part in making the event such a success.

All proceeds from the event will support the vital services delivered by We Are Beams, including Family Advice, Respite Care and Holiday Play Schemes, providing practical assistance, emotional support, and opportunities for children and young people.

We Are Beams aim to raise £2.5 million each year. The charity’s impact goes beyond just care; the services help reduce social isolation, promote friendships, enhance mental health and wellbeing, and provide families with the much-needed respite from the challenges of caregiving
