We Are Beams is a local disabled children’s charity based in St David’s Road Hextable.

We have received a grant from the Department of Health and Social Security for 50% of the cost towards a life-saving defibrillator to be placed outside Beams at Allsworth Court, 38-40 St David’s Road for the public to access whenever needed.

We just need to raise from the local community the balance of £750 in order to purchase the defibrillator and cabinet for the outside wall. A sudden cardiac arrest can happen to anyone at any time, regardless of age.

The local press recently confirmed that heart failure rates in the Dartford, Swanley and Hextable area have risen by 15% in the past year. That is why this piece of kit is sorely needed.
