We are proud to be able to provide career opportunities in areas such as social care, fundraising, finance and administration.
In celebration of National Careers Week, we caught up with Georgia Holkham who has worked as a Support Worker and Sessional Team Leader for 2 years.
Her role involves supporting our disabled children and young people on a 1-1 basis at activities and days out, ensuring they can participate in the activities of their choice.
Georgia has always enjoyed working with children with additional needs and hopes to take a masters in Special Educational Needs so working at Beams has given her some excellent experience for the future.
Georgia first heard about Beams on social media and was keen to get some experience for the holidays working with children with SEN this seemed liked the perfect role.
Highlights of her role as a Support Worker was completing the Colour Dash Fun Run with one of the young people she supports.
“I enjoy that we get to make amazing relationships with the children. Taking the children out on days out and ensuring they are having fun. I really love knowing that the children have had a fantastic day”
