Beams Business Networking Club

Join us to connect with local businesses, gain quality referrals and grow your network whilst supporting disabled children’s charity, We Are Beams. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, the Beams Networking Club will meet online over Zoom.
During our meeting, you will have the opportunity to promote your business and present to the group with an allocated speaking slot.
There will be plenty of time to network during breakout sessions. If you have a business, are planning to start a business, or are looking to increase your current business network then we look forward to welcoming you to the event!
It is just a £5 donation to take part in the networking session. Your donation will go towards funding day trips out for disabled children this summer. Click HERE to register.
Brigade Donate £30,000 to charity
Donating to local charity has always been close to the hearts of everyone at Brigade Electronics. As such, every year the staff at Brigade are given the opportunity to vote for charities that they feel make a real difference who would then receive a generous donation.
In times of a global crisis, it is even more important to support organisations who give so much to the local community.
This year Brigade chose to donate £10,000 to each charity; We Are Beams, Demelza Hospice and Ellenor Hospice.
Caroline Brinkman, Income Generation and Development Lead at Beams said;
“This will save Beams as a charity for now. We currently closed our children’s unit as these children are very vulnerable and would not survive the COVID19. We will re-open again in May 2020 and will need financial support.
We are in desperate need. Now that parents have been cooped up for 4 weeks with their disabled child, and many do not have any other carers to help them due to all this self-isolation they are starting to break down as a family and other social issues then come into play.
We will have to re-open again shortly to take in these children however we did not have the income to do this until now. The staff will have to live in so as not to spread the virus and that is a huge ask.
Our family advice team has continued to work and has been inundated with calls for help.
