Brigade Donate £30,000 to charity

Donating to local charity has always been close to the hearts of everyone at Brigade Electronics. As such, every year the staff at Brigade are given the opportunity to vote for charities that they feel make a real difference who would then receive a generous donation.

We are Beams a local charity based in Hextable were thrilled to be included in Brigade Electronics recent generous donation to four Kent Charities.
In total the commercial vehicle safety solutions manufacturer based in Darenth has donated an amazing £30,000 to local charities including We Are Beams, Walk Tall, My Shining Star and Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance Trust.

For We Are Beams this large donation will make such a difference and allow the charity to continue supporting local disabled children and their families

Caroline Brinkman, Income Generation and Development lead explains how this donation from Brigade will help,

“Last year was the toughest in our history due to the pandemic and the uncertainty in the economy. We have come through it stronger and are celebrating our 25th Anniversary this year.
Brigade has been a supporter for many years now and their donations has helped to provide holiday playschemes, day trips and respite care within our Dragon’s Retreat for children that would otherwise not be provided with these opportunities. From all at We Are Beams, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

The disabled children and young people who access We Are Beams services will typically have one or multiple learning difficulties, complex health needs, physical or sensory impairment, challenging behaviour, Autism or severe ADHD.

We Are Beams have managed to carry with support services throughout the pandemic and continue to raise £1.6 Million a year in order to provide care to over 450 families in Kent.

This is a great example of a corporate supporter that really cares about the local community.
