Q: Are you a college?
A: We are a UK Registered Learning Provider.
Q: Do you have qualified teachers?
A: We have a qualified teacher and fully trained tutors and learning support assistants
Q: Will I always have the same staff member?
A: There will always be a minimum of 2 people who will work with you, to cover staff holidays or absence, so that you never miss out on learning time.
Q: How many days per week does a student need to attend?
A: Two days per week is the minimum expectation but the more days you attend the sooner you can achieve your goals.
Q: How many hours are in a learning day?
A: This can vary depending on the person, but we would normally expect 6-7 hours per day.
Q: Do you teach Maths and English?
A: We do not teach these as standard, however, we can arrange this for you if you wish.
Q: Do I have to do any classroom work?
A: Not if you don’t want to. If you want to do functional Maths and English, you will need to spend one session per week in a classroom setting.
Q: Who pays for my learning?
A: This can be paid for through your EHCP (by education) or it can be paid for by social services through direct funding or via a direct payment, or it can be privately funded.
Q: Could I take any other formal qualifications?
A: Our staff can support you to attend adult education classes or to study online if this is part of your plan.
Q: What age range do you accept?
A: 16+, however in exceptional circumstances we would consider younger people.
Q: Who pays for the activities I do?
A: All activities are paid for by students as these are all part of their normal daily routine.
Q: Do I get a certificate?
A: Yes, we do issue certificates of achievement.
Q: How do I know how well I am doing?
A: Your RARPA Portfolio and daily assessments will clearly show you how you are getting on.
Q: Will you support me at an EHCP or social care review?
A: Yes, we are very happy to attend reviews and can provide all the supporting documents needed to evidence the progress you have made and what you are still working on.
Q: Who decides when I have reached my targets?
A: Your tutor, plus two other people (tutor/teacher/assessor) will verify your results.
