Little Learners North West Kent an educational messy play and mark-making classes, for under 5s have been using the facilities and garden at Beams.
Each week, families come from the local community and have a 45 min messy play class and then 1 hour 15 minutes of free play in the new garden.
The garden has wonderful facilities for the toddlers to explore from the water play station, where they can safely fill up the buckets and let it topple out to the climbing equipment, slide, trampoline and sensory area.
Aisha who runs Little Learners describes why she enjoys the classes at Beams.
“The children love having these wonderful facilities, my pupils with additional needs such as suspected autism have thrived by being able to use the sensory areas and specialist equipment.
The children are particularly fascinated by the lights and bubbles in the sensory room. The trampoline has also been very popular, in addition to the sand and mud kitchens where the little ones can concentrate for prolonged periods.
The facilities have just been so conducive to the early years learning that is taking place at my classes and has provided such a beneficial extension to the sessions and the children’s development.
I would not be without my partnership with Beams and feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to offer these facilities to local families with children in the Early Years.”
