Big Christmas Raffle Rules
The terms and conditions below are our Raffle Rules. By entering the raffle, entrants agree by the rules outlined.
Entering the Raffle
- You must be over the age of 18 to enter. Any prizes won with a ticket where the named ticket owner is under 18 will immediately forfeit.
- You must be a resident in the UK to enter. We are not licensed to accept entries from Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands of the Isle of Man.
- The Gambling Commission does not accept credit card transactions for purchase of raffle tickets.
- By entering the raffle, you agree to have your name published if you win. You can opt-out by emailing fundraising@wearebeams.org.uk.
- The promoter is registered as Katrina Adams, Head of Charity, We are Beams 38-40 St David’s Road, Hextable, Kent BR8 7RJ.
- Each ticket costs £2. Raffle entry sales are final, no refunds. All entrants acknowledge that their payment of £2 per ticket to enter the raffle does not guarantee that they will win any prize.
- This raffle is a form of gambling. Participants are encouraged to gamble sensibly. Should gambling become a problem we recommend you contact the Be Gamble Aware helpline on 0808 8020 133 or visit their website on begambleaware.org.
- We must have a valid email address to be able to process your entry. Without a valid email address, your raffle entry will be void.
Raffle Details
- The lottery is being promoted by We Are Beams. Charity No. 1054129. Licence number is 21/02772/LOTTER. Licensed by the Gambling Commission: gamblingcommission.gov.uk. Responsible Person: Katrina Adams. Registered Office: We Are Beams, 38-40 St Davids Road, Hextable, Kent, BR8 7RJ.
- The prizes for the raffle are
1st Prize – £1,250
2nd Prize – Merlin Discovery Pass (2 adults, 2 children for 1 year)
3rd Prize – £250
Raffle Draw
- The raffle is drawn electronic via People Fundraising peoplefundraising.com. The draw is automatically drawn when the online registration closes. A random process using a random number generator in a secure environment will determine winning tickets. The order will determine allocation (i.e. first ticket drawn wins the first prize).
Closing Dates
- All ticket stubs must be returned by the closing date of Monday 16th December 2024 in order to gain entry into the raffle. All late entries received after the closing date for ticket stubs will be voided and the monies received for these entries will be treated as a cash donation to We Are Beams. Beams will not be held responsible for any lost, late or incorrectly completed ticket entries. Ticket stubs must be completed in full. Incomplete ticket stubs will be voided and the monies received for these entries will be treated as a donation.
- The closing date for online entries for the raffle is Wednesday 18th December 2024 at 12pm, all entries received after this date will be treated as a donation.
Additional Rules
- Beams is committed to protecting your privacy. Any data we collect from you is used lawfully in accordance with GDPR. We use this data to process raffle entries, conduct the raffle draw, and notify winners. We may also send you occasional updates about our work by post, email and phone including fundraising activities, and other ways to get involved with We Are Beams, unless you tell us otherwise. You can change your preferences at any time by contacting fundraising@wearebeams.org.uk.
- Winners will have up to 30 days to claim their prize and Beams will make reasonable attempts to contact prize winners during this time.
- All winners will be contacted by phone and if unsuccessful, by post within 14 days of the raffle being drawn.
- Beams reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if we believe the entrant has breached raffle rules.
- All ticket stubs will be held securely until the date of the draw.
- Entrants are solely responsible for providing Beams with accurate contact details and Beams are no way liable for any inability to contact an entrant due to errors or incorrect contact details provided by the entrant.
- Beams employees and family members of employees setting up the draw are not able to enter the Beams Big Christmas Raffle. A family member is considered to be a spouse, partner, close blood relation or spouse of a close blood relation.
- Beams reserves the right to amend the above rules and/or prizes at any time. If Beams does this, it will be amended and published on our website. Entrants are encouraged to check the website for regularly updates.
- Beams accepts no liability for loss, theft, or delay and is not liable for any late bank payments.
- All profits from the raffle will be used to fund the work of We Are Beams. Beams is a registered disabled children’s charity in Kent. Registration Number 1054129.
Complaints
Complaints regarding the raffle should in first instance be sent by post to We Are Beams or by email to admin@wearebeams.org.uk We aim to respond to your complaint within 5 working days of its receipt.
